Bio

Truth be told, I’m quite a complex character; fuelled by the highs and lows of rapid-cycling manic-depression, I often seem to have two personalities that drive my being and send me into different worlds of both creativity and destruction. My creative personality loves art, loves to create, delving into pastures new; my destructive side seeks to darken my soul and thoughts, tainting my outlook somewhat on a day-to-day basis.

My own artistic passions manifest themselves through photography, with particular focus on eroticism, a subject matter, I’m sure for many reasons, that calms my mind and induces a relaxed state as well as one that’s full of constant intrigue. I also love the complexities of “simple” design and, furthermore, all of that geeky programming, making SomethingDark tick so many boxes for me, becoming an outlet I’ve been craving for far too long.

Born and raised in Bedfordshire, UK, I also travelled throughout Europe many times while growing up, revealing to me the wide range of different cultures populating this sphere we call home – and that, sadly, we seem determined to destroy as a people. I eventually ended up in rural Herefordshire where I currently reside and from where I have allowed my wings to spread.

My insightful nature and thought processes have since developed into something that I would like to become more about enjoying life to a greater degree while still keeping an eye on the future – which is often a depressing proposition. Returning to the present, however, my soul simply seeks something darker.

"...the careful man tries to dodge the bullets, while a happy man takes a walk" - Mark Oliver Everett, The Eels.

I also have a fantastic, witty, playful sense of humour, it was just stuck in traffic while I wrote the above.
