Bio

The name “Artpunk” started about five years ago – that was maybe 2004. It came about through working with punk bands in the ’90s, and I follow the same philosophy of making do with what you have.

I started taking photographs 20 years ago, mostly shooting live gigs of the bands I was working with. This led on to shooting friends and, later, models.

Since 2006 I’ve been working on a series with the folk from Glasgow-based burlesque company, Club Noir, and shooting for Anatomic Bomb! latex. I’ve also been shooting in clubs in Glasgow, which has been quite interesting as they change over time.

I come from an art background as I worked two years as a games artist, and before that as an artist.
